3 Ways to Stay in the Royal Belum Rain Forest @ Perak

The Royal Belum Park is really one of Perak's most beautiful treasures. As Malaysians, there is no excuse to miss a visit to this amazing paradise. There are three main ways to visit the Royal Belum Park. All three ways are packaged with guided tours. Find out about the activities in Royal Belum here.
The amazing paradise, Royal Belum

1. Boat House
Engaging a boat house is my most preferred way of staying in Royal Belum. It places you in the heart of what you came for- nature. For approximately RM2500, a boat house can be rented for 20 people, inclusive of meals and activities. The boat house is sufficient to house your family and in-laws from both sides! It is also a wonderful choice for students and adventure groups. Living above water refreshingly whisked me away from my life on the ground.
A boat house that can accommodate 20 people. Bigger boat houses that can accommodate up to 40 people are also available
Ahoy! Move the whole house to the forest!
When you feed yourself and dipping your feet in the water
Meal time on the boat house
Ample space to get comfortable on the floor
Home cooked food served on boat house
Clean beds beside a window for natural aircond
Double decker beds
Observing peace at dusk after dinner
In house karaoke!
Clean bathrooms. However, do not expect heaters
and remember to bring your own towel and toiletries
2. Chalet
If you are literally a more down-to-earth person, check in to one of the chalets in Royal Belum. There are several camp sites that you can choose from namely Jenut Papan Camp, Sungai Kenarong Camp, Sungai Kejar Camp and Sungai Tiang Camp. My stay at the Sungai Tiang Camp only costed RM90 per night. Extremely rustic experience sans pollution and laptop. Facing the lake and misty mountains, this place is simply divine.
Docking at the Sungai Tiang bank
Little rustic huts
Living in a beautifully raw environment
Fantastic crisp air
Clean rooms
Comfy and complete with basic necessities
A balcony that protrudes into the forest
Clean bathrooms. Do not expect heater and remember to bring your own towel and toiletries
Activity hut for group gathering
BBQ pit for a warm gathering

3. Belum Rainforest Resort
If you are feeling a little rich, combine luxury with nature at the Belum Rainforest Resort. For RM600-800 per night per room (depending on season and type of room), this resort pampers you from A to Z. Nature themed and devoid of television, this resort strips even the slightest stress away from you, unless you deliberately use the wifi to check your emails. Hot rain showers, thick towels, toiletries and an infinity pool facing the Temenggor lake makes life here stupendous.
The Zen atmosphere
Simplicity at the lobby
Thick mattresses and cosy blankets
Spacious room with laminated wooden floor distresses immediately
With a safe, refrigerator and no TV!
Absolutely luscious bathroom
Nature themed hotel
Infinity pool that faces the Temenggor lake
Relish in a panoramic view of the gateway to Royal Belum at the roof terrace

Don't forget to sip some coffee while enjoying the view
